I think it’s safe to say that most people are drawn to the apparent innocence of bears.  They look cuddly and always seem playful - living life without a care.

When I originally saw the grizzly depicted in Crapped Out lying stretched out on his belly - I knew I had to paint him.

I had an opportunity to observe some young grizzlies playing together in a man made pool - all three were in captivity.  They appeared to be good friends and enjoyed taunting each other.  I took numerous photos of their antics and later composed Rub-A-Dub-Dub Three Cubs in a Tub.  I felt it was a good compliment to Crapped Out.
